Our DNA Testing Laboratory
Unlike many other companies that offer home DNA testing, Beta Paternity owns and operates its own DNA testing laboratory. When you test with us, you can be confident that you are sending your DNA samples directly to a state-of-the-art lab, without the delay of going through a brokering company.
Beta Paternity’s laboratory is located in the DNA Technology Park just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. This high-tech complex houses paternity testing, genetic testing, and forensic DNA testing facilities and employs leading experts in the DNA testing industry.
Our laboratory is equipped with the latest advancements in DNA testing technology, including:
- Biomek® FX robotics systems, which assist with the purification and preparation of the DNA samples
- Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) thermocyclers, which produce millions of copies of the DNA markers we examine in our paternity tests and other family relationship DNA tests
- ABI Prism® 3100 genetic analyzers, which examine the DNA markers and generate reports about them
- DNA-View™ software, which our expert DNA analysts use to make the statistical calculations needed for the test results
