It is difficult to comment on the accuracy of the test performed long ago without know much more details. In the late 80s/early 90s, a few different techniques for paternity testing using blood samples were available. Apart from the technique, you also need to consider the laboratory procedures’ quality and the staff’s technical qualifications.
If you are still seeking answers, we would advise you to take another DNA test. If Mike is still available, a paternity test can be performed; if he is not, we have other options for biological relationship testing for you to consider. Our laboratory has several Ph.D. scientists, and we exceed the rigorous standards for laboratory quality set by the industry’s accrediting bodies. You’re assured of quality testing with our laboratory.
