Our standard paternity test is completed within 5 working days from the time our laboratory receives all the tested parties’ DNA samples. For individuals who need their results sooner than 5 days, we offer a 3-working-day expedited service for an additional fee. (Please review our fee schedule for the express service fee.)

Result Delivery
Beta Paternity can deliver your results in several different ways, primarily by email or first-class mail. For a nominal fee, we can send your results by fax or courier delivery. Not Like a Pregnancy Test

Friday, October 20th, 2006

As you search for a paternity testing company, we urge you to keep the following points in mind:

  • While many paternity testing companies allow you to collect your DNA samples at home, a paternity test is not like a pregnancy test where you can easily read the yes/no result.
  • DNA paternity testing involves complex procedures and analyses that can only be performed by highly trained and experienced scientists.

Beta Paternity’s laboratory is staffed by expert DNA analysts whose vast experience in the paternity testing industry enables them to correctly analyze DNA test data in even the most complex cases. Extensive DNA analysis is required in motherless paternity tests, tests involving related alleged fathers, and tests involving genetic mutations. Our scientists know this, and they will test additional DNA markers and perform additional statistical calculations as needed to achieve conclusive, reliable test results for every paternity test we do.

When you choose your DNA testing laboratory, be sure that its scientists have the depth of experience needed to correctly handle your paternity test. You must be able to trust your test results.

Beta Paternity is a conscientious, experienced DNA testing laboratory. For more information about the many benefits we offer our clients, please visit our Why Choose Beta page or call us at 1-800-798-3810.

Collecting Your DNA Samples Separately

Friday, October 13th, 2006

Beta Paternity can accommodate individuals who need to collect their DNA samples separately from one another. If you and the other tested parties in your case live in different cities or states, have scheduling conflicts, or would simply prefer to collect your samples at different times and places, we can help.

When needed, Beta Paternity can send separate Beta Self-Collection™ Kits to multiple addresses to allow the tested parties to collect their own DNA samples at their convenience. We assign a reference number to every case and place it on each kit, so when the samples arrive at our laboratory, we know exactly whose test they are for. What’s more, our DNA testing kits are always free—even when we have to send more than one for a single paternity test.

To discuss your paternity testing options with one of our helpful case managers, please call us at 1-800-798-3810. For more information about our Beta Self-Collection™ Kit, please visit our Free Kit page.

We Test All DNA Samples Twice

Monday, October 9th, 2006

Beta Paternity performs every DNA test twice to ensure accurate, reliable results.

When the DNA samples for a test arrive at our laboratory, they are carefully divided into two groups, which are analyzed separately by two independent teams. The two teams of expert DNA analysts both perform the DNA testing from start to finish. Once the results are ready, the teams compare them to make sure they match.

By running every DNA test twice like this, we help ensure that our test results are accurate and trustworthy. When the two teams compare their results, they will discover any discrepancies that may exist between the data. In the rare case a discrepancy does exist, the teams will review each aspect of the testing and perform any necessary corrective measures, including retesting when needed.

In addition, running every test twice doubly confirms the presence of shared DNA markers between the tested child and alleged father. (Two sets of test data are better than one!) Further, the AABB recommends that paternity testing laboratories repeat all tests with exclusion results to ensure the correctness of the results (i.e., the tested man is not the biological father of the child). By always performing every paternity test twice, we can immediately confirm any exclusion results our tests produce.

It is important that you trust your DNA testing to a laboratory that will take your test results as seriously as you do and make sure they are right. Independently testing all DNA samples twice is just one way that Beta Paternity ensures reliable results.
